Mrs. McLean served as instructor for this course. The students were presented with a food handling course that was presented by Crystal Bull, an environmental health advisor. Crystal was quoted saying, "Food safety education is one component of the environmental health program... health inspectors are responsible for things such as water, sewage, food, etc.: inspect(ing) all public places, and teaching courses in transportation of dangerous goods and food safety." The class was also involved in making yeast breads, breakfast foods, cakes, specialty drinks and main dishes. The students completed W.H.M.I.S. training and will be providing a three-course staff lunch.
